Art!

Week 3 has ended, I feel like I'm learning stuff, or at least being exposed to new art and artists. I'm beginning to get an idea of the art I want to create, only problem is that I'm not sure how to go about making it.

This is quite literally Adam's Corner

Performance art... I just don't understand. That's a goal for this year; to understand this thing which is currently just nuts. So below are my tutors playing with a chain and rolling around on the floor wrapped in tissue paper.

The idea of this year as I understand it is to experiment with different types of art so I've been doing that as well. So I hung a bucket from the ceiling, stuck some toothpicks in some foam and then projected slides onto it.

Fresh

Ah tis the start of a new year at the old University of Ulster, filled with possibilities and new ideas. I ended up on the sculpture and lens based art course, definitely way more fun than the end of last year now I have all the freedom in the world to work on what I want to work on. Even if those ideas annoy my friends because they don't mean something or have real world applications, but hey it's my work.

The outside of the of the new building, we're across the street in the old building built in the 1930's, which is pretty awesome even some original light switches in there. And half of the studio( now has tables and work all over the place)

I walk in every day, 2 miles give or take each way, which is great I get some exercise and listen to some audio books.

Of course not so great when it's raining.

And of course the antics of a student house are pretty fun, above is a piece of furnature designed and created by Jonathan Graham using my old bed (They were kind enough to give me a new one but left this one in the room)
